The Advanced Bestiary goes above and beyond the core game’s bestiary, offering every single monster a detailed entry with stunning artwork and all the information you need. Each entry expands the lore of Lorainia, helping to paint the picture of a beautiful yet dangerous land. All previously released monsters are included, with several overhauled to make them even more unique and challenging. A host of new enemies also make their debut, such as the deadly Draugr, fiery Imps, and the fearsome Kaledon. To save you from flipping through multiple books, all monster special rules and encounter tables are included here—these too have been slightly revised to make encounters above level 5 more challenging.

Every new and revised monster comes with its own card, now clearly ID-marked to show which expansion it belongs to. A number of new Travel Event cards are also included, introducing some of these monsters on the overland map. There is also a set of new illusion spells for reasons you will soon understand. Additionally, a small set of treasure cards has been added—mainly intended as replacements for previously incorrect ones. All in all, we are looking 130+ cards!

Since this book focuses on all things living (and unliving) in Lorainia, it also includes a dedicated chapter for playable races, complete with expanded lore and name generator tables. Most of these races have been seen before, but a few are brand new. Among them are Gnomes, Froglings, various Elven sub-species, as well as Pale Orcs and Goblins. Each brings something unique to the table, though not all are widely accepted by the people of Lorainia—creating potential struggles of their own.

Last but not least, a set of cardboard standees featuring all new monsters and heroes will be available. To keep costs down (and since not everyone wants them), these will be sold separately. For the same reason, sleeves are sold separately (See Advanced Bestiary Sleeves).
